When a host is blocked by bl.twosteps.net, it means that it has been manually blocked by our system administration staff due to a couple of reasons:
- An enormous amount of spam has been sent by your host and our staff saw no reason that your host has any other purpose.
- Open proxies are also affected by this rule as the headers don't show any difference from a mail originating on that certain host.
- Sysadmin staff members received only spam from hosts in your ip range and we didn't find a single message in our system logs which originated at the affected network which didn't seem to be spam. As more hosts from the same networks are affected, we also block the affected netblocks (special greetings to freenet-ag.de, att.net and china.net :).
- You operate an unsecured, open relay or proxy and want to keep it, ignoring our advisories and notifications.
- When you request not to test your host again or not to notify you of such an important configuration problem, we see this as a request to be included into this list.
- When you start blocking relaytests for us while we still can verify that you're running an open relay, we'll also include your host into this list.
- Somehow you've messed up with our staff creating an untolerable Situation. You've requested not to interchange mail, so you get it.
- You requested us not to perform any security verification tests (relay tests) for your host. This also means that we don't accept any mail at all from your host.
- You're a customer of telesp.net.br and trying to perform a direct-mx-delivery from a dynamic dialup-ip.
- We've seen far too much direct-mx-delivered spam from telesp.net.br, so we reject such deliveries. Please use your ISPs mailrelay, mail sent via that host should pass without any problems.
- Our staff prefers other things much more than manually blocking individual hosts or networks and someone at your site or the neighboured networks have really got to screw up things if your system is being blocked by bl.twosteps.net and you miss legitimate email to get through.
